Nestled on the south end of the Kenisco Reservoir sits the Kenisco Dam Plaza. This historic dam acts as the Catskill water source, but many visitors each year get a bird's eye view of the towering construction and the surrounding natural beauty. Each month, a calendar of community events is hosted in the nearby park, from cultural celebrations and workout classes to concerts. Snackers can lay a picnic spread while watching skaters land rollerblading tricks. The Kenisco Dam also houses The Rising, the county's memorial to commemorate 9/11 and the first responders.

Westchester County is widely known for its Trailways. One of the local favorites is the South County Trailways. This 14-mile-long trail runs through some of the most densely populated areas of New York, stretching from the Bronx to East View.
